Chateau Heritage 2017 Family Reserve
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep ruby with garnet edges.
Nose: Concentrated aromas of black cherry, ripe plum, cedar, and subtle leather, layered with hints of Mediterranean herbs and baking spices.
Palate: Full-bodied and structured. Ripe dark fruit flavors (blackberry, blackcurrant) are framed by firm, well-integrated tannins and bright acidity. Secondary notes of tobacco, cocoa, and subtle oak support a long, savory finish.
Balance/Ageing Potential: Shows excellent balance between fruit, tannin, and acidity. Ready to enjoy now with decanting; will continue to develop complexity over the next 5–10 years.
Food Pairing
Charcuterie board with aged hard cheeses (Manchego, Pecorino), dry-cured salami, and black olive tapenade.
Lamb chops with rosemary and garlic, beef short ribs, or roasted game birds.
Tomato-based pasta dishes
